Indonesian Honda Recalled their Product Because of Airbag

HondaNewsToday. - Although Honda as the big and one of the best automotive manufacture in the world, it is't make Honda free from the problem with their product. Recently reported that PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) conduct a recall of some of its products in Indonesia related to airbag.

This method used because that to replace the airbag inflator components. Replacement of these components to prevent the airbags inflate in excess due to excessive gas pressure that potentially endanger the driver or front passenger in the event of an accident.

According Metrotvnews, (02/12/2016), that he process of replacement parts on all automobile airbag inflator identified consumers do without the imposition of any charge. This component replacement campaign will commence on Monday, March 21, 2016 were carried out gradually throughout the authorized Honda dealer in Indonesia. This component replacement process lasted approximately 1-2 hours.

• 16 276 units of Honda Civic production in 2002-2011
• 41 538 units of Honda City production in 2004-2013
• 104 651 units of Honda CR-V production in 2002-2012
• 199 167 Honda Jazz production in 2004-2014
• 2,526 units of Honda Stream production in 2002-2006

President Director of PT HPM said "the campaign is part of a global program run by Honda Motor Company to ensure the quality of every product manufactured and marketed Honda in Indonesia. Consumers who are affected are entitled to a replacement vehicle components to ensure their vehicles are in the safety and quality standards".
