According to report, the 2018 Honda CR-V has a bigger grille along with new tail and head lights as spy shots suggest. There is also a possibility that its 103.1-inch wheelbase will get bigger but that's all the information available at this point in the exterior aspect. One of the main issues consumers have against the CR-V is the volume knob and the report states that this will be properly addressed in the next model. In addition, the 2018 Honda CR-V will also make use of a few designs from the HR-V as reported.
Future Powertrain
The 2018 Honda CR-V will likely make use of the new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged 174 horsepower from the Civic as its standard engine. Accordingly, the current 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque will still be available. A 2.0-liter engine capable of delivering 270 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque has also been reportedly being anticipated in the 2018 Honda CR-V. The drivetrain will remain as a standard front wheel drive (FWD) and optional all-wheel drive (AWD) that will be delivered by a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) as reported.
