Honda will launch the all-new City sedan and Jazz premium hatchback in India during 2020. The cars will be ready to meet the stringent Bharat Stage 6 emission norms that will come into place in 2020. Honda has also revealed that it will offer petrol-hybrid options on both the City and Jazz. Already, Honda offers such options on the City and Jazz sold internationally. But in India, the company offers only petrol and diesel engines with these cars. Petrol and diesel engines are expected to continue on the next-generation City and Jazz models but a petrol-hybrid option will be a key addition.
For now, fans of the City and the Jazz will be eager for the new models coming to India during 2020. The current City was launched in 2014, which means that the end of 2019 or early 2020 is the right time for the new model to come to the market. The Jazz, which was launched in 2015, will get a mid life facelift this year.
In 2020, an all new model will replace the current version. Both the City and Jazz are expected to see major stylistic and feature changes in the all-new models. They are expected to retain man-maximum-machine-minimum philosophy so far as the interior design is concerned.
